On 1 September 2025, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) published an article which inaccurately stated that World Football Legends (WFL) promoted the legends match between former Real Madrid and Barcelona players in Hong Kong last year.
This claim is incorrect and was published without fact-checking.
For the record:
• TimeWow was the sole promoter of the event, responsible for ticketing, itinerary, event operations and promotion
• WFL’s role was limited to providing the Legends players for the tour
WFL had no involvement in ticket pricing, event management or promotional activities.
We are now seeking a correction from SCMP to ensure the public record is accurate. WFL remains committed to transparency and to delivering world-class football talent and experiences for fans across the region.
